GATHER for HER | Martina McIsaac

Weaving a Beyond Business Leadership Legacy, Together

We are thrilled to welcome Martina McIsaacRegion Head & CEO of Hilti North America, to GATHER for HER this week. She is the first female CEO of Hilti North America where she has been leading a team of 4,000 professionals across the US and Canada since January 2020.

Martina is a Catalyst for Change CEO, a group of top executives who are committed to advancing women in business and in leadership. She expanded a one-person DEI office to three full-time professionals; first four ERGs for Hilti launched – Women, LatinX, LGBTQ2S+, Black. Martina is also a member of the Texas Women’s Foundation Economic Leadership Council.

As a female leader in the construction industry, where women don't traditionally work, Martina finds it gratifying to help other women understand the opportunities they have to excel and become leaders. She believes that it is important, right now, that those of us who are privileged help others, especially women, minorities, and other communities find their voice. Martina reminds us that It's important to listen deeply and to hear their voices and take action with them.

She is the mother of 2 children and when they were young she actually stepped out of the workforce for 5 years due to those family challenges – raising 2 young kids in a two career household.  Now back in corporate life, she is passionate about supporting women through their entire career life cycle. With the pressure on families and working mothers that the pandemic has brought, Martina is invested in using her platform as CEO of Hilti to encourage companies to stop the backslide of women in the workforce and to find flexible solutions to support female careers.

GFH - Martina-2

“A key piece of our mission at Hilti is our responsibility to build a better future.  That goes far beyond safe and sustainable building in the construction industry; we are also focusing on creating opportunities within our industry for all genders and generations.  As one of Canada’s Great Places to Work® for Women, we strongly support the efforts of PowHERhouse in creating positive opportunities for women and girls.” ~ Martina McIsaac

Join us on September 22, 2021 at 8 am PT to see where our conversation around Weaving a Beyond Business Leadership Legacy, Together will take us.

The PowHERhouse team is grateful to be able to host GATHER for HER on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh people.

Martina and the Hilti North America team pays respect to the traditional custodians and stewards of land where we (Hilti North America) have major office locations, in Oklahoma and Texas. The land now known as Tulsa was the original home of the Cherokee, Creek, Osage, Sioux, Caddo and Yuchi Nations, along with others. The land now known as Dallas was the ancestral home of the Caddo, Wichita, Tawakoni and Kiikaapoi Nations, and others.
