PowHER TV
Lifestyle + Leadership, Integrated
By women. For women. About women.
PowHER TV integrates Lifestyle + Leadership into one place at one time, providing women with the solutions they need to build stronger bodies, business & lives.
Our brand-new community-focused television program airs this fall on Shaw TV throughout Vancouver Island, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton as well as online and through Video on Demand.
Produced by Charlene SanJenko of PowHERhouse and Co-Produced and Hosted by Kait Burgan, PowHER TV is clearly different. It demonstrates that WE, as women, have all of the collective wisdom and answers that we need. WE are the experts. WE are whom we’ve been waiting for. The ANSWERS are all here – among us. Our job is to connect, communicate, collaborate and share these answers. Together, we grow stronger.
Each 30-minute weekly episode features one PowHERhouse Portrait, an engaging interview with a Canadian woman making an impact in sport, business, the arts or community leadership. We learn about her story, the impact she is looking to make and how she stays strong in her life. #InspireMe

About our Co-Producer and Host, Kait Burgan:
After nearly 20 years professional experience in Vancouver Island media (newspaper, radio and television), Kait finds meaning in stories that take viewers, readers or listeners, to a new place of awareness. She does so with integrity, compassion, accuracy and confidence.
As one of the senior reporter/producers on the Shaw TV Vancouver Island staff, Kait has built a varied and large network of community people and organizations that provide endless inspiration and material for stories.
She is the host and producer of go! Island in the Central Vancouver Island Region, and arranges stories provided by reporters in Nanaimo, as well as other systems across the country. When hosting on location, she works without a talking script or teleprompter.

About our Producer, Charlene SanJenko:
Charlene SanJenko is the Founder and CEO of PowHERhouse, a multi-media platform dedicated to building strong women. Charlene’s background extends to the corporate world where she flourished in a marketing and communications leadership role. It reaches now to encompass her passion for people and community economic development, fueled by a ‘leading by doing’ attitude as a municipal councillor in her second term for the rural West Coast community in which she lives.
Since 2000, a vibrant entrepreneur who embodies lifestyle + leadership, Charlene finds her greatest joy bringing together powHERful women ready to make an impact and change the world, powHERfully – one woman, one family and one community at a time.
“We recognize that the change our world needs is us, and we’re stepping up, speaking up and showing up to take action, together. We recognize the importance of integrating lifestyle + leadership. PowHERful women require strength, energy, confidence and connections to realize and sustain their dreams.”
