PowHERhouse First Steps Facilitator and Amplify Indigenous Auntie and Coach
Vanessa is committed to decolonizing business through workplace spirituality which looks like: developing and maintaining a meaningful connection to self, others, nature and a higher being/consciousness. She is the facilitator and founder of Vancity Labyrinth who works with heart-centred organizations and leaders and her mission is to create the best work environments possible by leveraging her Metis (Anishinaabe-French) ancestor's Indigenous worldviews and inviting people to bring their whole selves to work: mind, body, emotion and spirit.
She offers ‘The Medicine Wheel teaches us that in order to be well we need to seek holistic balance. This applies in all areas of our life - including work.’ Her masters research examines spirituality in the workplace and how it impacts our well-being. Workplace spirituality helps to decolonize business; enhances diversity and inclusion; creates deeper relationships at work; increases productivity and the bottom line; aids in well-being and helps employees find purpose, fulfillment and meaningful connections.
