PowHERhouse Tactics For Women Ready To Soar!
What if I told you to consider allowing the stress in your life to activate your top performance rather than crush your spirit?
Call me crazy, but let me explain. As an athlete you strategically use stress to build a stronger, fitter, faster and more flexible body. That is, you carefully practice – just beyond your comfort zone – in order for your body to rise to the challenge and perform as it needs to in order to survive these conditions.
Is it possible to have a Crazy Big Life with Crazy Big Dreams and a Crazy Big Purpose to accomplish Crazy Big Things with absolutely zero stress? I don’t think so. Stepping Into Greatness involves a certain level of stress. However, it’s high-time we redefine the meaning of the word stress and our perception around it.
Stress: According to Wiki, stress is a body’s way to react to a challenge. Stress typically describes a negative condition or a positive condition that can have an impact on an organism’s mental and physical well-being.
If stress describes a condition that challenges you to dig deep into your resources – your personal power – in order to successfully surmount and conquer your challenge and become stronger along the way… then, Bring It On! Some of these challenges are internally orchestrated – you’ve set yourself a goal. Most are externally orchestrated which can also include demands and drains on your life. Knowing how to navigate through stress, determine its purpose and PowHER-Up in order to refuel yourself and your resiliency is key.
3 Things To Do With Stress:
- Rise up and kick it in the ass! Bring your A-game and allow this opportunity to bring out your very best YOU, boost your confidence and grow into all that you can be.
- Acknowledge it – but that’s it. Bring up your defenses, and let it be. Maneuver. There’s a certain amount of stress in life much like static electricity but it’s not necessary for you to be involved in it. Maneuver, Maneuver, Maneuver.
- Eliminate it. If it doesn’t serve you and is impossible to maeuver around, then eliminate it as quickly as possible. If it has no positive purpose then give it the boot. That goes for negative people, drama, or anything else that drains you. It is to be quickly examined and kicked to the curb asap.
The next time you are thinking about ‘how stressed out you are’, consider the three preceding choices. Stress is merely a training tool when you know what to do with it.
