We all want to look and feel our very best. We want to belong, to feel needed, respected and remembered. We’re goal-driven, purpose-driven and mission-driven. So how do we ensure our lives our lives are powHERful? And what can we do this Spring to stay in the flow or as we call it, The Practice? And what’s the correlation to feeling powHERful physically as well as in other areas of our lives?
According to author John Izzo, Ph.D., knowing is just the beginning. It’s not enough to know. We must put it into practice. “Think of all of the things we know and fail to act on… For example, consider the research findings about patients with coronary artery disease (blocked arteries). After having procedures to save their lives, or even having near-death experiences, these patients are ask to make rather a stark choice: Change or die. Faced with the almost certain knowledge that blocked arteries will kill them if they don’t change their lifestyle, almost all of them, we think, would change. Change or die is a pretty straightforward choice. But the research show that over 70% fail to make changes.” This tells us that for many of us it is at least as important to know how to lives powHERfully as it is to know the aspects involved.
In our online transformation, PowHERful Living Explored, a progressive 90-day program in lifestyle + leadership, we begin with the most fundamental building blocks. We start at the beginning.
I believe that when you boil it all down, women want three things: Health. Fulfillment. Abundance. Now your words may be slightly different than mine, but I’ll bet they are inter-related.
A great place to start is with your Values Star. I’m sharing mine.
- What are your values?
- What values are most important to you?
- How do they show up in your life?
- What do you need to experience in your life on a consistent basis in order feel fulfilled?
I encourage you to give this some thought this spring. Make your own Values Star and leave it up with you can see it. Allow it to guide your weekly planning and daily actions. It can be a great compass for prioritizing and taking action. It’s an important part of your Practice – your Practice of PowHERful Living.
