Creamy Gluten-Free Whole-Food Spinach & Avocado Sauce

This creamy gluten-free, whole-food spinach & avocado sauce is perfect for spaghetti-squash pasta, a tasty topper for protein patties or a nice finishing touch to roasted veggies.


Simple, quick, easy and delicious ~ just our style!

Lightly stir-fry one bunch of fresh spinach with 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic and a sprinkle of sea salt in olive oil.

Set aside.

We love Sunshine Coast Olive Oil – Butter Flavour.



Using your Kitchen Ninja (our kitchen tool of choice!) or food processor, grind up 1 bag of garlic flavoured Simply Protein chips.

What we love about Simply chips is how easily they can be used as an option for gluten-free bread crumbs.

The nutritional bonus these natural chips (no preservatives!) have over regular gluten-free bread crumbs is that they add 15 grams of protein to our sauce.

Add your spinach to your ‘protein bread crumbs’ and puree until you get a sauce consistency.



Transfer your sauce to a pan, add the following and allow to simmer until the rest of your meal is complete:

  • Braggs Liquid Soy (1/2 tbsp or to taste)
  • Lemon juice (1/2 tbsp or to taste)
  • Chipotle pepper
  • Daiya mozza soy cheese (optional)

Voila!  The finished product ~ a delicious lean-eating meal, PowHERhouse-style where Eating Well has no room for deprivation.
