Metis Angel - Artistic Muse

Assisting women to discover their creator given soul talents

Sheryl is a Metis woman of Mohawk Turtle Clan ancestry. As a Great Grandchild of residential school Great Grandparents, she wasn’t raised Metis and only connected to her clan of origin 28 years  ago. When she did learn of her aboriginal heritage, something came alive in her.

The creative areas of her life which include writing and singing took on a whole other source of energy and call within her. Sheryl has been singing since she was five years old. It was always a family event with her Mom and her Brother. She’s been singing since 2001, in school choirs, as a classic country duo and now, sharing her muse inspired songs of inspiration on her Youtube channel. Writing was her second whisper from Creator and as she followed her soul talent with words, she began to go inward, convening more and more with creator through meditation and in October 2021, while taking a spiritual business course, a spiritual voice said to her: you will lead other women to discover their creator given soul talent, and she has never looked back.

“When we open ourselves to creator and angel guides, we leave behind what had us feeling stuck. We release depression, headaches and overall feelings of being unhappy. It’s as if there’s a light turned on, guiding us onto our path where we can begin the inner transformation to who we really are and live our unique soul talents. This is how we fully realize the soul purpose creator has for us on this earth.”

Sheryl's Impact Statement

Sheryl wants the same thing for others as she is practicing herself: to step into her own power, and allow for greater creative expression as she lives her soul purpose. She wants that for every person she walks beside.  She sees a world where every person can experience a life of joy, peace and prosperity. When we say yes to our creator given talents we are inviting more wellbeing into our lives, our family and our community. We are receiving the wisdom of our ancestors.

The project is rooted in decolonized leadership development and steeped in Indigenous ways of knowing and being. This project has been made possible with support from The Indigenous People’s Resilience Fund which is built upon the resiliency of, and guided by, Indigenous Peoples to support Indigenous communities.
