FALL 30-Day FIRM-UP WITH FIRMA CHALLENGE:  September 2nd (Day #13)

We’ve had a few rainy days in Puerto Morelos over the last week.  I love it when it rains here – it doesn’t mess around.  A sudden downpour can last a few minutes and then it clears up and the sun is back out like nothing ever happened.  It is so powerful and cleansing – the perfect environment for reflection, planning, strategizing.

Yes, I’m a Virgo, and yes, I LOVE Fall!  Please take a moment and go through these 5 Steps to firming up your resolve:

Reflect:  Stopping.  Simply stopping in your life to check-in and ask yourself some tough questions.  Are you happy?  Are you excited about your life?  Do you like who you are being in your relationships – with yourself and others.  Do you feel strong and healthy in your body?  Are you taking responsibility for where you are at or are you continually grasping at external factors?

Resolve:  When you check through the definitions of resolve, there are some great ones.  What is it in your life that you are 100% resolved to, you have come to an earnest decision about, or are transforming by a process?  I love the musical definition the best – to progress from a dissonance to a consonance.  Love that.

Constitution:  Check in with your body.  How do you feel on every level?  Is your constitution strong right down to cellular or weak, exhausted and craving an overhaul.  Fall is a great time for a detox to recharge and refocus.  We’ll be telling you about an upcoming detox this week with Janna Shapero, PowHERhouse Herbal Health Editor.

Commitment:  What are you committed to?  How strong is your commitment?  Why are you committed?  Do you live your daily life in such a way that others can easily witness this commitment?

Clarity:  With clarity comes freedom.

A huge part of the Fall Firm-Up Challenge is understanding that fitness travels far beyond the physical – it includes each of the preceding steps – if we’ll allow it.  Building ourselves stronger has many levels.  If we continue to focus on ‘losing weight‘, we’re doing ourselves an injustice and cowarding away from the real work to be done.

The best part of working out?  An amazing post-workout meal at a favourite vegan restaurant in Puerto Morelos.  Delicious, tasty, clean.  #postworkoutcarbs  #30dayFallFirmupwithFIRMA
