PowHERlunch Calgary | Karen Pearce, McCANN West

McCann WestPowHERlunch Guest Speaker: Karen Pearce, President of McCANN West

PowHERhouse is thrilled to welcome Karen to our September 19th PowHERlunch at charbar.  Register here.

A Calgary native, Karen currently oversees business operations for all Western Canada at McCann Worldgroup Canada, including leadership of both the Vancouver and Calgary offices.

She brings deep local market relationships paired with proven business acumen and demonstrated leadership to her role. Not afraid to get her hands dirty, she brings an unbridled passion for creative strategy and ideas that move business forward.

This past year, Karen has been part of a national McCann initiative called Truth About Canadian Women, which takes an honest look at the imperfect portrayal of women in advertising and the need for change.  Partnering with IPSOS, this initiative was catalysed by an unfortunate stat; that despite best efforts by marketers everywhere, only 14% of Canadian women feel they can identify with women in advertisements, and that and that in 2018, most Canadians – men and women – think it’s easier to be a man than a woman in Canada.

McCann WestKaren will help us to understand why this is the situation we’re in today, but also to help understand how we can start to overcome some of these challenges in order to get to 10% lift in women in leadership by 2025.

She will bring insights and provocations to marketers and business leaders alike as a powerful call to action for our industry and businesses as a whole.

Join us September 19th at charbar to meet Karen and connect with a diverse cross-section of local leaders and powHERful influencers who are keen to move women forward in Calgary and Canada with intention and impact!

Building a stronger nation, one powHERful woman at a time!
