A Case for Support to Heal Our Systems

SEPTEMBER 6th 2022, PowHERhouse Relational Leadership Accelerator and their 3000 strong active community of changemakers and social impacters announces FireCircle 2022 - Healing Our Systems September 22nd - 24th.

FireCircle 2022 - Healing Our Systems is a three session over three days, virtual gathering for relational leaders to harvest the questions, concerns and collective wisdom from public and private sectors that impact us the most: Health, Finance and Banking, Business and Capitalism and Politics and Governance. At the conclusion of the three day inquiry based exploration, PowHERhouse with their partner, Impact Arts will pull together a comprehensive case for support using the relational data harvested over the three days as part of their activation campaign to support the realization of the UN2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals.

PowHERhouse is a community of practice for diverse leaders, changemakers and social impacters ready to walk a path of relational leadership for future generations.

The FireCircle Model is a three step tool developed by PowHERhouse based on the Indigenous practice of ‘wisdom gathering’. It’s an intentional practice of deep listening in circle, followed by inquiry based break-out sessions and concluding with a group harvesting session of our collective wisdom. It’s a model where every voice can be heard in response to a single ‘challenge’ or inquiry, deliberately weaving diverse stakeholder voices together to bring forward themes and collective next steps.

Healing Our Systems 2022 features four conversationalists:

Patricia Crowe - Indigenous Business Consultant, Saskatchewan Economic Development, Morris Interactive

Kamala Todd - Indigenous Relations for the City of Vancouver, Community planner, filmmaker, and adjunct professor at UBC and SFU

Kari Johnston -  Community Strategist, Municipal councilor and Yukon First Nations COVID Communications Lead

And Shannon Pestun - Métis Entrepreneur, Ceo of Pestun Consulting and Senior Advisor, Business and Finance for the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub.

“Imagine an invitation to bring your whole self into a complex conversation where you are encouraged to engage in a brave conversation. Imagine an interactive and integrated un-conference with less definitive answers and more re-imagining and inquiry; where there are less presentations and more presence; without powerpoints and instead, brave, heart-led conversations facilitated by hope-fueled truth tellers who encourage everyone to stay in the room. Imagine listening and harvesting answers to what seems impossible. This is a FireCircle, and 2022 our theme is Healing Our Systems.” - PowHERhouse
