We need to look at exactly what these women have done tonight.
We need to find our voice and take our lead.
They have already had great courage and made a difference in their own lives as well as in the lives of others.
When we share our story we invite change.
When we our share story we create a forum, a forum that allows us
to learn
to understand
to grow trust
to have empathy
When we share our story we create purposeful interaction and connection which is so vital to our organizations.
As an empowerment coach and consultant, I support individuals and teams using three foundational principles: Engage, Empower and Evolve.
When we engage, we open the door for others to be heard and to participate.
Empowerment is so often misunderstood. It is not a transference of power from one to another but rather it puts into action all the skills, knowledge and ideas of those at the heart of our organization. Empowerment is the process of growing stronger as individuals and as a collective.
Engage. When we engage others, we empower our teams and that creates a natural evolution of growth and our businesses go to the next level. When we enable these principles we change our organizational culture. We begin to grow stronger healthier homes, workplaces and communities.
And when we empower women to find their voice, and take their lead, we activate half of the human potential that is currently being underutilized.

Kelly Beattie is the founder of Beyond Connections and is part of the PowHERhouse Amplify Relational Leadership Coaching team. Kelly is a heart-centred relational leader who believes that business improvement begins with the people. She is driven by a firm belief that each individual in their own way wants to be part of something bigger than themselves, and that organizations are made up of people like you and me who want to be involved and want to feel valued. She calls Kipling, Saskatchewan her home where she has raised two young adults, both leaders in their own rights, on Treaty 4 Territory, the traditional lands of the nêhiyawak (Cree), Anihšināpēk (Saulteaux), Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation.
