MEET DANIELLE COMPTON

Danielle is a Power, Shipbuilding & Mining Account Manager at Hilti. Her customers include several strategic partners for Hilti.

Danielle's responsibility involves identifying opportunities, creating and executing strategies for account development, in collaboration with supporting team members across the organization.

She graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley on the Dean's List with a BA Major in Sociology. Danielle also has a history of volunteering her time in initiatives that make Hilti a better place to work. She currently serves on the Diversity Equity and Inclusion team responsible for bringing Hilti’s school sponsorship program to Canada. The program supplies refurbished tools to student shops and also supports career development initiatives.

Danielle loves the outdoors, taking advantage of the mountain and water sports BC has to offer. She also enjoys unwinding on a trail ride or jumping with her horse, Rogue.

I am a big-picture thinker who is able to tackle great challenges with an open mind, integrity, and compassion for others.

What Do You Care Deeply About? What Do You Stand For?  Something is calling you. 

I care deeply about principled progress, truth and equity, and empowering myself and those around me to grow and make mistakes with grace.

I seek to work with people who can be objective when it comes to strategy development. I enjoy working with a team that is not afraid to seek the truth as much as it is available so that we can design a strategy or system and put the right people in place to accomplish our goal.

When Do You Feel MOST Lit Up? What are You Doing at That Time? Who Are You With?

I feel most lit up while galloping on my horse, Rogue. The best is galloping in the open fields of Campbell Valley Park, and second to that, is a high speed jump-off with tight turns over big fences.

I'm also lit up while traveling to a unique destination with loved ones; the more unique food, live music, and dancing, the better!

Where Do You Want to be 12 Months From Now on Your Leader Path?   

In 12 months I will continue to enjoy the challenge of driving growth in my territory, through collaboration with my team and providing solutions for the people and organizations I am building trusting business relationships with.  

Five years from now I envision myself as a Segment Manager. I am curious to see what opportunities will be available as we are constantly innovating. There's nothing to be lost in building skills towards specific role(s) or experience, and pivoting. If you change your mind, the personal growth is worth the effort in itself.

And Why? 

I am so grateful for the opportunities I have been awarded in my life, and excellent mentorship I have received. I am driven every day to continue my development so that I am in a position to help other people become their best version of themselves.
