PARTNERSHIP-FOR-IMPACT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hilti (Canada) Corporation and PowHERhouse Impact Media Group partner for impact.

The international Hilti Group supplies the worldwide construction industry with technologically leading
products, services, and software that provide construction professionals with innovative solutions and superior added value. Hilti employs about 30,000 people in over 120 countries who passionately create enthusiastic customers and build a better future. Hilti’s North American operations include 3,800 employees in three countries.

Hilti (Canada) Corporation continued being named a Top 50 Great Place to Work® in Canada for over 600 team members in 2020.

A relationship between Hilti Canada and PowHERhouse has been percolating since 2018 when the two organizations partnered for a multi-day Women Built2Scale Accelerator in Calgary three years ago.

Hilti Canada has recently launched an “Engaged Beyond Business” engagement strategy for both customers and partners.

We believe there is a significant opportunity to build upon the ‘Engage Beyond Business’ strategy with a comprehensive media-focused production campaign. This includes an intentional leader activation component to complement the Hilti’s Emerging Leader Program as well as strategic third-party amplification to build a strong narrative around the incredible change-making work being done internally with the Hilti’s Affinity Groups initiative and externally with the George Brown College’s Women Transitioning to Trades Employment (WTTE) program, a proactive volunteer initiative, and much more.

PowHERhouse and Hilti kick-started the next phase of their partnership-for-impact earlier this year at the April virtual FireCircle gathering for local-to-global leaders. On September 30th, Dan Wade, President and General Manager at Hilti Canada, publicly announced the partnership:

"Hilti Canada formally announces our partnership with Charlene SanJenko and PowHERhouse Impact Media Group, an Indigenous-owned social impact organization. Together, we are working towards building better relationships, learning from, and supporting the Canadian Indigenous community by embedding the conversation of Indigenous issues into #Hilti culture and at all levels of the organization."

Further partnership commitments include:

Emerging leader activation workshops and digital amplification profiles

Indigenous Cultural Liaison working closely with the Canadian Management Team

Impact media production to shift the narrative and document changemaking work

"A key piece of our mission at Hilti is our responsibility to build a better future.

That goes far beyond safe and sustainable building in the construction industry; we are also focusing on creating opportunities within our industry for all genders and generations. As one of Canada’s Great Places to Work® for Women, we strongly support the efforts of PowHERhouse in creating positive opportunities for women and girls.”

"The ultimate goal of this Impact Media partnership with Hilti is to authentically and energetically activate Hilti team members by modelling, showcasing, and recognizing how Hilti wants people to lead, building greater depth, understanding, unity, and fulfillment in their whole leadership experience and potential attracting and engaging future leaders in the process.
