FIRECIRCLE | HARVESTING FOR COLLECTIVE WISDOM

FIRECIRCLE

THE FIRECIRCLE IS A METHODOLOGY AND MODEL FOR LISTENING.

FireCircle is a model of group listening and wisdom gathering for sound decision-making for groups of 4 to 50 leaders who are ready to lead from a place of care for tangible, sustainable, and seven-generation impact.

FireCircle is a three-step listening, witnessing, and implementing process to bring the leaders of today through the fire of our times.

RECLAIMING YOUR WISDOM

Reclaiming Your Wisdom to Move Forward Together.

  • Your board, team, or community needs a revisioning. What is the first step?

  • Your leadership has changed. You need to regroup.

  • You want your next steps to be purposeful and efficient. You need to recharge.

  • Your community is disgruntled. You need to recover.

  • Your team is under-delivering. Why? You need to revitalize.

  • Your well-being and the vitality of your circle matters to you. You want to reinspire.

  • You want to lead collaboratively within a co-creative model. You are ready to reclaim your wisdom.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A FIRECIRCLE?

What happens in a FireCircle?

Each FireCircle is designed to match the needs of the group called to gather. There are four distinct designs we offer to start our conversation.
  • A Half-Day (to full day if needed) Listening Session for a tangible First Step.
  • Three-Day Wisdom Gathering to clarify the Path forward.
  • Three Sessions over three months to Lead the change.
  • An annual co-created process to walk through the fire, together.

WHY A FIRECIRCLE?

Why a FireCircle?

Because, the voices of your team, collective and community matter. With each voice received from a place of deep-listening comes wisdom, energy, and knowledge. Activating the braid our interconnectedness in action is how we move forward faster, with greater ease and efficiency to re-imagine and re-build the systems of sustainability most needed at this time.

“This is not a workshop to get to know your colleagues. This is not strategic planning.

This is not an exercise in trust. Yet all of the above will happen.”

There is a place where stories are told.

Where questions are asked.

Where answers are gathered.

Where the wisdom of our collective ancestors is received.

This is a listening circle for teams of leaders working through complex situations.

How can we take good care of each other while making the right decisions in a divisive time?

You are called to the Circle. We’ll see you, hear you, and be with you there.

A CALL FOR LISTENING

PowHERhouse is pleased to work closely with Christina Benty in the development and delivery of this experience for leaders and with Tina Overbury in the listening and sharing of best practices as it transpires.

"We are walking in a New Normal. Systems have been dismantled, and community leaders have an opportunity to rebuild, better."

"The Fire Circle empowers people within the system to really see the people in the system. Just like you can’t start hammering the walls before you have poured the foundation, you can’t move forward with initiatives, projects, and policies without building a foundation of internal alignment. The Fire Circle experience is designed to shed a light on the predictable patterns and relational choke points that impede organizational excellence. What is the cost of doing nothing? It could mean everything. Is it difficult to ‘measure?’ Maybe, but its power and impact are undeniable."  Christina Benty

Testimonials

I am no stranger to online forums, especially in our new world order. However, FireCircle2020 was different.

Perhaps it was the music, or the stories, or the facilitators who were ‘present’ with deep listening and engagement.

Perhaps it was the ease of online movements, (e.g.: transitions to break-outs and back). Perhaps it was all of us?

All I know is this two-day session was both unique and powerful. I am ready!  Thank You~

Over the past number of months, we have all participated in numerous web-based meetings, discussions and gatherings.

The FireCircle delivered by PowHERhouse on April 30 & May 1 was an excellent example of the seamless integration of technology, human connection, and engaging content. This event brought together participants from across the west – from Saskatchewan to British Columbia.  The FireCircle included small-group discussions as well as plenary read outs and keynote speakers. Participants were assigned to break out rooms and virtually escorted to the appropriate place at the appropriate time.  The design and implementation of the program was such that participants felt engaged and included throughout the two days. Charlene and her team did an exemplary job in organizing and implementing – no details were overlooked.  Session leads and facilitators were well prepared to move participants throughout the agenda.
