Your Next Bread Habit, Baker, Pop Up Entrepreneur

MEET Indigenous Entrepreneur Cassandra Hoefer

Pop up speciality banana bread shop!

Home baked banana breads, mini loafs, muffins and other sweet treats!

Cassandra is a mom and wife who is both aboriginal and caucasian from the Paul Band First Nation (Alberta). She lives in Winipīhk (Winnipeg) MB on Treaty 1 territory. She loves nature and animals and is a daily tea drinker (usually peppermint and matcha lattes!).

I am ready to own a food truck or kitchen where I can serve delicious banana breads, muffins and mini loafs, banana bread fruit cups, lemonade, tea/coffee, and so much more! I started this small business after I started baking for my family. Friend’s also enjoyed my banana bread and then word got out! - Cassandra Hoefer

"Cassandra is the type of small business owner you WANT to support. She leans on her gifts and talents, enjoys what she does, and runs her business not to become a millionaire but simply to support her family. By the way, have you seen the types of banana bread she makes? Cassandra takes it to a whole new level!" - Vanessa Lesperance, LIFT Circle Lead

The LIFTing Your Leadership program is a cohort experience for 12  Indigenous women and non-binary entrepreneurs, and is a combination of leadership and business development activities (created by LIFT) and story amplification (by PowHERhouse). The project is rooted in decolonized leadership development and steeped in Indigenous ways of knowing and being. This project has been made possible with support from The Indigenous People’s Resilience Fund which is built upon the resiliency of, and guided by, Indigenous Peoples to support Indigenous communities.
